hey im gettin my bsp tC prolly sometime next week. just wondering how much will it cost to get some springs installed. im most likely going to go with the trd springs.. im jus curious how much i will be payin for dem and gettin dem installed.

If you want them installed by a shop, you're looking at anywhere from $100 to almost $300.

i THINK there are a few DIY posts' on here? The right tools and a spring compressor and you should be good! Couple of friends wouldnt hurt either!

Self install is pretty easy, but a little time consuming. It'll take the better part of 3 or 4 hours if you want to do it right. Just basic hand tools, jack/jackstands, and a spring compressor. Add a little elbow grease, a friend, and a few beers and you're all set!

so how much of a drop do u get from trd springs...and which one has the best ride?

the trd drop is somthing like 1.25 all around i wouldnt kno anything about the rides as i do not own either set. but in the near future i will be getting the trd shocks and springs.

if your getting the hotckis springs i suggest a profesional install. but then again you may have better luck then me.

the springs are kinda hard to compress, and with the spring compressor i had, i could not get the rears on to save my life and by time i go to the rears in the day (about 4 at night on a saturday) alot of the shops around my house were closed, and they are all closed on sunday too, the one shop i went to sunday got the struts and springs together but they werent aligned properly and when i got them back home to my car i was furious (thank god they only charged me 20 bucks) and then i took them to minekee this morning and they aligned them for no charge so i kinda lucked out on that one, but i just wish i knew what i was getting myself into when i started. now the question i asked my self afterwards was, "was it worth it?" and of course my answer was "every second" lol the hotchkis drop is perfect IMO. Its not slammed to the ground, but its not like the TRD drop which is to minimal for my liking.

but thats just my 2 cents. if i was to do it again, i probly would have gotten the Tein H-Techs to be honest, the hotchkis springs are great, but the install was a PITA lol. the H-Techs look easier to install.
