How long did the install take and how difficult was it?

Actually Ed (tctaco) and I have collaborated on a few installs before in regards to suspension. This was a lot easier and more straight forward than switching out springs since we really didn't have to compress anything (which is a big time consumer) and lining up the rear hat on the shock assembly was cake because it spins! I can't really gauge it in time as we did a lot of stuff, but I would say probably 2 hrs max if that's all we were doing.

It's really not that bad at all. I'd do a coilover install over a spring swap any day of the week

Sorry for the dumb questions but Im getting ready to purchase and install a set of these coilovers. With these coilovers, you dont have to reuse anything off of the stock strut/spring combo? If so what pieces? THanks for the info

with the basics you have to reuse the stock upper mounts, thats all i believe.

if you step up your game and get the ss-p, it comes fully assembled.

We had a running joke about this yesterday... You reuse the "bush" (lol their terminology for a bushing), the top washer, and the hat/mount. Just make sure while you are installing to you are either drinking bush beer or chanting bush.. either way it's funny as hell..

good job man, I really like it. I'm probably gonna get the same kind cuz my car is gonna be my daily driver as well. But I'm gonna have the Kaminari bodykit on soon and so I'm gonna have to get rid of my Tein S. Techs and go with the basics and only drop the car an inch or inch and a half at most. And imma get the sway bars installed as well!!!!

Should end up looking nice... while I like the Kaminari... it's just ... well.. everyone has it... there are more people with Kaminari than with TRD lip kits it seems... that's one of the reasons I haven't done it.. + Houston is the rock chip capital of the world.. it's hard to keep your kit up in this environment..

Good luck on your venture... you'll love the basics!

x200! Lord..compressing the springs is such a pain. If I do wait till next summer I might just do coilovers because to put on the trd struts again...ehh just thinking about it hurts a little.
