Default Just Order TRD's

So last night i chose to order the trd drop springs for the 05 tc...i was debating on them and the s teins but since i only wanted a mild drop i went with them 185.00 shipped from ebay...can beat that so i really have been looking hard on how peolpe like the trd. i have been getting mixed feelings on how they like them..is there anything wrong with the drop? i know the tc should have came stock lower but thats why we have the aftermarket scene. i think i will like the drop as stated before i was goin with a mild not wild like all my crazy tc scion life folks so can i get some info on how people like them..and any problems i should watch out for during the install..

aw you didn't get from TRD Sparks or McGeorgeparts? they are both sponsors and they can beat that price easy!

I have the TRD springs and shocks set up with the rear sways. Diggin' the setup so far.... nothing wrong with it. I had mines installed at PrecisionMufflers.com since he is local to us.

Good luck installing it though. Sorry I dont have any tips on that.

Nice choice. If you're looking for a mild drop TRDs are defintely the right springs. I have the Eibach Pro-kits which have similar drop rate. Installation wise if you haven't done it better it will take awhile. Just follow the DIYs people have written. There's a good one to use on the Club-tc.com site under the articles section. I believe there are some on this site too. Just have to do some searching.

A problem I had was getting the lower arm to line up with the shock when putting them together. That arm was a pain to adjust. But other than that a friend or somebody helping you would be good. Good luck with the install.

i have trds with some 18 inch rims, and it looks pretty nice. Don't be disappointed after you initially put them on, give it a few weeks to settle and it'll look nice.

<Tisk Tisk> Should have ordered from trdsparks.com. It all really depends on the type of drop you're looking for. If you want a more aggressive stance and subtle look, then the TRDs are perfect! I've had mine for almost a year now and couldn't be happier! If you want a more slammed look, then look elsewhere. Once you lower it, you'll be asking yourself the same question I was..."Why the hell did it take me this long to lower it?!!!"

hey good choice on the springs...although trdsparks or mcgeorge would have been a better choice...i think i might get the tein h-techs. just because its a little more lower. but i also have heard some mix feelings.....tell me how the trd's are when you install them

Anything bad to say about the TRD springs?

Will the car look awkward if there are 5 people in the car? Later on, will the car sag a little more in the rear and make the car look ugly?

I doubt it would sag substantially, I would go with Hotchkis if I could do it again, but trds are good for a mild drop

Most people don't even know I'm lowered since I have TRD's. I believe Hotchkis is just a bit lower than the TRD's.
