Default knocking noise, is it balljoints?

so i noticed a odd knocking noise on the passenger front side, only when im driving, not turning, checked all the struts and top hat bolts. everything is tight.

could it be balljoints?

alignment?

strut getting bottomed out?

any help is appreciated!

That happened to me recently on my right rear side ... Turns out my shock absorber thingy on the strut like disintegrated and my shock was bouncing around inside the springs. So the piece was like 30 bucks to replace. Idk if it's the same thing but my car made a thumping noise only when I was driving also!!!

So good luck :-)

Hmm well the only way to tell is to take the spring out and look at the shock. It's the rubber circular thing that's like right on top it keeps the shock up!!

Well the front doesn't have that. I'm getting it realigned tomorrow so hopefully they can diagnose it.

Mmmpshh is a pretty reputable guy, I know him on a few forums. Don't be quick to blame him but realize thats just kinda the case whenever you buy secondhand suspension stuffs.

I can tell he's a great guy I'm not hating at all.

Sometimes you don't notice a problem, I understand that happens.

He told me that it was in perfect condition, but it wasn't and I'm sure he is willing to fix the problem.

My experience with suspensions too is that you really have to check your install. Its just easy to go wrong. Maybe the clunking is your endlinks?

It's 100% the bushings. The guy at big o even showed me, when it was fully drooped, you can look at the top hat, and put a crow bar under the tire and the ground and make the tire go up and down. Watching and hearing it clunk.
