Default KW Variant 2's w/ photos!!!

Hello everyone,

I put KW's on a few weeks ago and wanted to post some before and after photos for everyone to see. These were taken with my phone, but i figured its pretty decent at 8mp. I have a lot more room to drop, but MN roads won't agree and this is my dd. I also never plan on getting aftermarket wheels, so please don't post useless comments about my stocks, I like the way it looks

Enjoy!

Moar loww. Streets suck everywhere, rub-a-dub-dub and scraaapeeee are good things to hear.

I wish you lowered it all the way to show how low they go, then put it back to where you want.

Haha, I already locked in the alignment and don't wanna fuss with it until November when I toss my Blizzak's on. Just...imagine it?

Overall, it's far less than expected harshness and ride quality is better than average. Comparative to stock, there is almost 0 body roll and it carves on turns. It is obviously stiff and this is more noticeable at lower speeds, but since there is comfortable travel, I am extremely impressed with how it feels.

>>>>I don't have previous experience with coilovers on tc's. The only cars I've ridden in or driven with coilovers were K-Sports on a Type S RSX and Tein SSP's on a 240sx. Both were set at the highest damping rate so there isn't a fair comparo.

you planning on tracking your car? reason why i ask is because these coils are amongst the most expensive out there. Just wanted to know why you chose these!

also, while i know these have great rep, it sucks that the lower you go, you start to loose shock travel, just sayin

and if you hadnt said they were pics off your cell phone, i would not have noticed, lol, pretty good pics!

my06tc...I'm dropped 1.8 all around and it functions very well with the drop.

chicotunner07...I did decide on these since I do plan on a little autox this summer and for their great reputation.

I do agree that the engineers at KW could have designed the variant 2's to lower differently, but that would have made them even more expensive. I think they offer a few different coilovers, but the high-end KW's are reserved for the Porsche's and BMW's .

And thanks for the compliments, I know there are some serious photographers who are on SL and I wanted to make sure that everyone knows these are just basic pix to show what I've got so far. I know the D-SLR I'd get would be a Nikon D5000DX...swivel screen+lightweight= heaven.

sw09, you will be really satisfied with them!

btw...Have you changed out the rear swaybar? I noticed a huge difference in capabilities with my car when I did and I think it really works well with the coilovers.
