Default lowered my tc today!!!

mmm i love it, it rides a little rougher, handles a lot better, and i was wondering, when i go over bumps now , i get a thud like noise, it doesnt happen when you make the car lean hard, just when you hit bumps straight, i do have the stock struts still in, so im thinking its just because they are compressing harder than they should since the springs are shorter?

just let me know if theres anything to worry about, my friends crx with coilovers makes the same noise going over bumps too

s techs ...it sits super low, im doing research on window tint right now before i actaully take pictures, but ill be taking pictures later on today ...i have all kinds of fun new stuff in the car lol, and i won a free ingalls engine damper from zpi racing yay!

oh and my friend from being behind me last night said that the body rocks a little bit but i think if i get sway and strut bars, the car should be fine...i have a front strut and the front is really tight, but the back end feels loose, illl play with it and see how it goes lol

I,m thinking about doing a write up for the rear springs in the tc, we found an easier way then having to mark the shock and reassembling outside the car, you can do it while everything is back in it

actually they do. It lowers your center of gravity making your car closer to the road reducing body roll and increasing your traction. Most springs are also stiffer in rate helping reduce body roll as well. Leaving you able to take corners at faster speed and more efficiently.

spring do make you handle better. Its struts that dont do as much. They control the speed of compression and rebound when making quick maneuvers or hitting an uneven surface. This will help the car remain more stable. Body roll on the other hand is very dependant on springs and sway bars.

OEM struts will bust because they are not designed for lowered vehicles...

I think you might want some new shocks

whoever said its struts that don't make your car handle better shouldn't be counted as being one of the ones who punked him. the balance of springs, shocks, sway bars and stiffining the chassis is essentially what makes the car handle better. thats why the trd struts are PERFORMANCE TUNED, they help control the springs which help control the car Duhhhh.

honestly I think people shouldn't open their mouths unless they know what they are talking about.

ya, but you can go a long time with just the stock struts ... I dont know about the S-Techs, but under a 2 inch drop, you can go without swapping the struts for a while.
