Default Lowering my Tc

in order to drop my tc do i need just springs or do i need springs and shocks? or coilovers or what. the whole thing has me kind of confused. also is a sway bar or strut bar really worth it? thanks for the help.

ok just to let you kno there are many threads like this.

if you get aftermarket springs you dunt ahve to get shocks, in fact you can use ur stock shocks but ur stock shocks will weaken due to the stiffer springs.

make the decision

if you get springs you need shocks that can handle the increased spring rates (factory shocks wont work for long). coilovers have the spring and shock in one package...but the ride height is adjustable. and a rear swaybar will do wonders to improve handling on a fwd car like the tC...but a strut tower bar is more for looks than any actual real improvement in handling. hope that answered your question.

a strut tower bar helps to reduce the flex when cornering hard

if you lower your tC, this is what it'll look like....

but yeah all you need to lower it is springs/coil overs.... buuuuut if your going for more than just looks i.e. handling then you should go with springs, struts, shocks, sway bars front and rear, strut tower bars front and rear and so on...

micah tc, what springs are you on. it looks like jus the right drop.

t6c9, that drop looks great, might be a bit much for me, but looks damn good. you say that S tech wasnt low enough, even with it offering 2 inches? how much did the spy's drop it for you?

oh and for miller. ive heard if you run after market springs on your stock struts, you'll be able to get about 20,000-30,000 miles before having to replace them. hope this helps.
