There are millions of threads out there on coilovers. Please search! If you're asking for people who have megan's you're gonna get nothing but "I LOVE THEM" responses. Coilovers are coilovers. They're gonna be stiff and burn a nice hole in the pocket. I have the megans and they work for me. The value of them are unbeatable. Its all up to you.

I don't recommend them because the rear bottom out everytime you go over a bump. I try playing around with it but still have the same problem. If I could have gone back I would had bought the Tein coilover. Might cost alittle bit more, but it is worth it.

^did megan send you the new springs for the rear??

The Tein basics or SS-P?? Cause I have the Basics and I sometimes regret getting it since it's pretty stiff. I don't mind it much but when it comes to these bad roads in LA....I really can't stand it.

When I bought my coilover, it already have the updated springs/struts. The SS-P coilover is the one I am talking about.

For $975, you can get a set of H&R coilovers and not have to worry about bottoming out or a harsh ride.

I was think of getting H&R since I can't stand the ride of my basics. I don't know when I'll have enough funds for new set of coilovers but I will let you know though. Just to let you know....I've put about 30k miles on it though. So the price should be pretty low for that fact.

So are the Basics uncomfortable because of the stiffness? I want an extremely solid-feeling car, and think that they fit the bill so far.

If the price is right I'll still buy them. PM me.

I had TRD springs and shocks and just installed Megan coilovers. I have to say I LOVE the fronts, but the rears didn't work for me.

If I had to do it over again, I would look at the H & R coilovers very seriously.

Megan sent replacements that were even shorter and stiffer (120mm/8k), so that did not help either or fix the "knock/bottoming out/noise" problem, which basically feels like being smacked in the tailbone with a wrench over even small bumps.

So, now I have a hybrid system, Megan on the front and TRD on the back (TRD rear springs are 6k just like the coilovers. Feels real good, even when I hit corners real hard.

I'll have to post up again after next Saturday's Time Attack -- maybe I'll be fishtailing all over the place, who knows. stay tuned...
