Motor mounts are not noisy. They make the car accelerate smoothly. Stock my car would feel like the engine was going to pop out of the hood. The vibration does not cause noise in my cabin but when the idle drops to like 600rpm it can resonate a certain annoying frequency. but this is nothing compared to the embarasing noisy Ingalls. Motor mounts rock and these inserts make the install allot easier. Energy Suspension also sells a kit for like 275.00 that replaces every bushing in the suspension 20 pieces. Keep in mind I'm running with 300hp so if your stock replacing the frint mounts will be more than enough. My stechs got rid of wheel hop while I was stock.

Hey if the invite still stands I wouldn't mind checking them out. I would greatly appreciate it actually.... I was always curious what motor mounts felt/sounded like....

Scionizedride eh? Well thank you for thinking so highly of me..... maybe you could introduce us one day

How did you get your old mounts out? And would you be able to post a sound or video clip of inside the car. I also heard that they created allot of vibrations from the sport compact car article. So I'm starting to debate doing these.

yeah I was planning on doing Energy Suspension mounts but now I'm starting to debate not doing em if they really cause so much vibration. What say you? yay or nay?

Its a personal question and a tough call. To some a bumpy ride and occasional squeak would be too much. That same scenario to someone who wants to scrub every last bit of performance from their car might be acceptable.

hmm... well I want my car to feel refined. I like to keep it looking and feeling classy. Now I want it to perform well so a bit harsher of a ride isnt out of teh question and noise doesn't bother me too much. Maybe a noisy engine torque damper would be better for me because I'd really rather not feel like my car is about to shake apart at every red light...

after putting some miles on the car with the new mounts, they have settled at bit and there is less vibration. Its no lexus by any means but its to a point where i don't mind it. Its at idle where you notice the vibrations the most can't really tell the mounts are there when cruising.

Not as easy as you would think!!! Tranny insert is easy but the rest of them take time - Make sure you have the hydrolic press or you will be pounding and prying away for hours like I did. I have the energy suspension inserts (05-07) I have an 08 and they fit fine. Deffeantly helped shifting - Noticable diff in vibrations at low RPM. But overall, a worth while mod.
