My driving was better then, my car had 250WHP, the chassis setup was dialed in well, etc.

Paul is really good at this game, he will still have more to learn though when he drives my turbo tC with race tires, it will be a whole new world

Looks like those super sticky race tires in my dining room will get some good use soon, Enkei is massively back ordered but they are flying some wheels in from Japan and my name will be on a set

I love Enkei, they have been good to me, they make great products at good prices, I am very loyal to them and always will be.

Nice...glad to see Rick's car is getting some use again I know hes been really busy lately with the business and other projects and that the car has had to take a back seat for a while.

Yeah - you can't say that the civic would have run that here - I had an integra with adjustable suspension and performance tires I beat as well as a street mod civic.

Every course the times are different.

Great video and driving guys!

I can see the effects of the CF roof when it comes to body roll. From the video I've seen, it doesn't look like the inside rear wheel lifts at all in hard cornering. I've seen several tC with full on suspension mods and they still lift in most turns where the car has a chance to take a set and grip hard.

Ram, I had completely ruled out trying to do the CF roof, but after seeing yours in action.......

Thanks Rick and Paul. Keep it up.

The CF roof makes a very big improvement, before the car would have to take a set when the weight transferred, then it cornered very well but it was unnerving and really felt odd during soloms.

I already had most of the other mods and the tires on I have now and autocrossed before and after installing it, big improvement.

-------------------

In watching Paul drive my car I did notice a very slight lifting of the inside rear tire on a couple of places on the course, that is a fairly normal issue on FWD cars autocrossing. I am going to set the rear bar to the softer setting at the next event, set in just a bit more positive camber in the rear(I have it near vertical already but will add a bit more) and set the rear toe out slightly to help rotate the rear end, hopefully keeping the rear tire on the ground yet still have the tire planted more and see how it goes. I may end up going back to the current setup but deffinately will at least try toe out for tight course events.

In the far left back of the course comming into the final stretch I was REALLLLY moving through there and sliding the rear end out and didn't lose control of the car it was awesome.

Thanks for the info, we should of talked about this more but we were all pretty worn out, tired, brain dead, etc by then, lol!

The ultimate setup is for slight oversteer on tight and slower corners and mild understeer on high speed corners. You still want the rear to rotate out a bit right before and during the apex and then back on the gas late into the turn to pull the car through.

This is mainly for road race tracks, not nessissarily for autocross courses but has much of this transfers over to them. I will have to do more research and testing to get the ultimate setup for both

Since being beaten so soundly by Paul I have been looking more into my driving technique and the biggest problem I have is related to hundreds of thoughsands of miles of fun in RWD and not adapting well to FWD techinques, I have to force myself to learn as they are very different.

What, 7 beers the night before was not enough for me? I am sure that had nothing to do with my FUBAR driving,
