I told jon the same thing.... i have hotchkis springs in the garage but held off on putting them on after i scionjon posted more pics.... should i go with the hotchkis then? i see so many people switching... im guessing scionjon trds are a rarity to go that low... thanks

I just did my install last night. Tomorrow I'll wash the ride to make her presentable for pics. Before I did the drop i had a three finger gap in the front. I measured it and it was about 2 1/4" all the way around b/f drop so after they settle it should be just right.

wish I saw this thread sooner....
HOTCHKIS FTMFW!

No, really. Jon's is the only ones on TRDs I've seen dropped like that. I had the TRDs, 3 finger up front 2 finger in back. I swapped them for hothckis and the drop is mean.
I installed my TRDs on a buddy,s and they look lower on his, but they are SLIGHTLY higher then the rear in the morning. After he drives around, the front and back are an equal 2 fingers.

No allignment neccessary with TRDs. Hothkis needed to get the toe out.

My 18x8.5 35offset with 225/40/18 should be here tonight, so we'll see if there is any rubbing.

But really though...

Im late....But have had a few springs already...I have had TRDs on my RS1 with the factory 18's...looks very food but decided to go lower and put some Sstechs and have had no rubbing issues....I also had some Hotchkis on my SW tc and loved the handling.....

I decided to keep the RS1 on S techs for the look and now have the hotchkis for sale.....But still Hotchkis FTW in handling and looks!

front

Two in the pink... One in the stink.

I got the TRD's and I have zero complaints. I'm done scrapping and zig zagging up driveways, so the wheel gap is acceptable. imo

Dealership wanted $500. I did mine myself...twice.
I did a couple for some friends for $180. I think most shops were asking like $300.
It's that hard to do it yourself if you have the paitients, the proper tools and you can follow directions.

It all depends on the wheel offset. 18x7.5et45 will work on s-tech's fine
