Default new spring noises?

Ok, I just got my trd lowering springs and hotchkis front/rear sway bars installed yesterday. I had it done at a local shop for a nice price that I couldnt pass up. Anyway, after I got everything installed, I started hearing this odd noise in my car that I never had before. It isnt a metal against metal clanking sound, I cant really explain it. The sound is more constant when in a parking lot. You know that large parking lots have a constant up/down surface so to prevent speeding (i would think) so that it feels like your riding a wave or something? Well thats where I can hear the noise. That and also sometimes on the streets. So the noise isnt from any turning, which I think eliminates the swaybars as the cause. Well, is this noise normal for new springs? Should I wait another 2 weeks to see if it goes away? Sorry for the noobish question.

if it is kinda like a clunk when hitting bumps then i may be able to help. After my spring install i had the same noise, the person that did my install fixed it. I inquired but was never given an indepth answer. More or less he did not fully reinstall something, I think a panel or clip. I would bring it back to the ppl that did the install and have them ck there work.

The thing is, the sound doesnt strike me as metal hitting metal. And the sound doesn't come from most of the bumps I hit on the road.

well not sure of this is a solution but I had a clunk noise and it was cuz the bolt on top of the struct tower was loose....not the 3 bolts but the one in the middle under the rubber cover..

hope that makes sence

I just installed Tein H tech spring on my 2007 tc. I went out for a quick drive around the block and when I pulled into the driveway I heard a "noise." It sounds like it was coming form the right front strut area. Any ideas???

Found the problem....the top nut on the strut was a little on the loose side. Tightened it up and no more noises....those H Techs ride and look awesome...

Is it more of a creaking sound?
I didn't have any strange noises after I got my TRD springs put in (i've since switched to Hotchkis, which creaked for the first couple days) but after I put my Hotchkis sways in, I got some creaking up front when going over uneven surfaces, like pulling out of my inclined driveway at an angle.
If that's the sounds your hearing, it's from stiffening up the chassis so much at once. It should go away in a few weeks. But I still get it every now and then on uneven surfaces at very low speeds.

Well today I brought my car back in and they redid the springs on the front of the car, and the majority of the sounds that I have been hearing are gone. I do hear a very minor creaking such as you described, but a little bit of music can make that go away. I put in trd springs and hotchkis sways on the same day, I guess that would tighten up the chassis quite a bit. Cant wait the few weeks for it to go away too. Thanks man.

No problem.
Your gonna love the setup. I had it for about 10,000 miles before I switched to the Hotchkis springs. A little stiffer, a little flatter, a little more even drop. Both are great.
I just want to be able to say that I got nothing but "Hotchiks" under me all day long!

Yeah I might switch out to Hotchkis in a year or whenever I get bored of the TRD drop. haha

I gotta ask though, how do you like the Injen exhaust? Does it sound good in your opinion?

theblue,
My bad. I didn't see your reply to this post.
I LOVE the sound of my Injen. It's great, deep, but not to loud. The only other exhaust I've heard that I like as much as it is the HKS Hi-Power.
