I don't see any flaming going on. You really should just read man and the majority of your questions would be answered. The general consensus is that they are OK for the money. And I doubt anyone is selling them cheaper, they're already cheap enough.

You should buy another pair of stock springs. You do know that you're springs actually rise over time, right?
So if you buy a new set of stock springs, you'll be at 0 finger gap. What they don't tell you is that Toyota lets the Scion tC sit on stock springs for 2 years before selling them to the public. So when you actually buy the car... you're at a 4 finger gap. Better hurry up and buy before you reach 5 fingers!
