Well, after two days of driving, I've noticed that on really sharp, small bumps like when you're driving over those plastic ramps city street workers put over big cables or hoses, that in the rear I get a loud thunk.

Could this be from the shock quickly extending to full length from wheel hop before the weight of the car comes back down? Or do I need to go back and rip everything out to tighten it? The rears are such a pain to work on.

It only happens on really sharp small bumps and not any kind of dip, pot holes or larger bumps.

i dont have these coils but i did have creaking noise in the back and i lubed everything.. even the sway bar. nothing helped until i took my car to the alignment guy and actually it turned out that he can set up my rear camber because the bolt is keep spinning. we thought i need new bolts but it turned out that some washer was in the wrong place. so he fixed the bolt and my alignment and now i got no creaking noise.

Coils, Exhaust, and Strut Bar are IN! Finally... After stripping an exhaust bolt and then having to cut my drivers side front sway bar link bolt off (cause the allen key inside stripped) they are finally in!

looking at about -1.5 fingers in the back, and -.75ish in the front, the exhaust sounds godly even with the silencer in (i dont think its coming out, thing is effin' loud) and the strut bar looks cool . Ride is a little bouncy but definitely better than stock IMHO.

Lesson here is, PB Blaster sucks and even soaking everything everyday for an entire week before, the exhaust bolt and the sway bar link bolt both were still seized up. And no, an impact wrench or a 4ft breaker bar didn't help either...

Pics to come tomorrow, but for now it's time to wash all this grease off and hit the hay!

yeah I cant get to the top bolt without removing my rear liner in the car. I heard its a pain to get out. But I may have to. I fixed the squeaking by hosing down the entire assembly with lithium grease. Looks like a bear sneezed on it, there's so much.

In hindsight, I shoulda greased it down before I installed it, but I forgot.

DPT852, how does the exhaust sound?

I installed the strut bar, and that "5 minute install" turned into a 30 minute constant stream of profanity. The bar seemed just a few millimeters too short... I could not for the life of me get the damned thing on, end up ____ing up my hand in the process. I did get it installed, but curious if anyone else ran into this...

Yeah it really was for me, I just was bugged that it seemed just not the right size. Also the little RL symbol was broken off the bar; not huge but it again was a little thing that bugged me.

IMHO the exhaust sounds AWESOME and I havent removed the silencer either, it's just all the way open (honestly idk how i would get it out, it's like pressed in there or something). When I tell some of my friends that it cost me 180 bucks their shocked because it sounds so nice, its full stainless, and the welds are mint! And then they're jealous cause their exhaust cost 3x as much!

idk about the sound, i feel like its raspy as hell even without a header.

to take the silencer off just use some pliers and pull it off
