thanks. and yeah i know what you mean. i think its funny that people say racelands are cheaply made, just because they sell for cheap. there are the big name coils that are built the exact same. if you put them next to racelands and they were both painted the same color, you wouldnt know which one is which...

You gotta think, RL sells way more coils than anyone because of their price. If the sell 3 times as many sets at a third of the profit they still make a ton of money.

As much as I'm an advocate for raceland, this is bull____. I dare you to show me a "big name" coil that's built the same as racelands. You've probably only ever ridden in a car with rl's. Keep in mind, even $1400 tein ss arent even high end; so don't try to compare racelands to $1000 coils. They do their job; they slam the car. I love mine but don't make them out to be better than they are.

You most def have to undo the sway bar bolt. I had to use an allen wrench to hold the bolt still and then a wrench at the same time. I installed mine yesterday. Keeping my stockies on till the salt is gone to put my 18's on. I am pretty slammed, but still need to tweak more once they settle.

quick pic i took with my phone

Haha, I just do not know the proper names for the bolts i guess. That is the one attached to the endlink. I did not have trouble with mine though.

At one point of the install, the length of the endlink will be a problem. I used a floor jack to push the strut up to match the holes so the endlink can be inserted back in with ease. I hope that makes sense.

I had trouble with this too. Had to do the same thing.

Go to discount tire. Sucks cause they're not "cool" but the lugs are cheap.

Jeeze. wasnt meaning to ____ anyone off with my post. but what i was referring to, was TEIN basics for one. what are they? $900?

and to me they look like the exact same build as RLs.. they both have no adjustment other than height, and both utilize the stock top hats off our struts....

and no i havent ridden on anything but the RLs. i wasnt claiming that I know everything. just stating my opinion.

Not trying to hate but their is more to a coilover than just how they look..a lot of it is in the spring rates, quality of the material, etc...

Again not trying to hate but really can't judge 2 products because they look the same.

You can't judge a products quality by looks hahaha. With pretty much any car part, at least for the tc YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I'm not hating on racelands. I own them. I like them! But don't try to make them out to be more than they are. I could casually auto-x tein basics. I couldn't do that with racelands. Why? Build quality. Teins are just made with higher standards. They're a better product. I'm not hating, I'm really not. I'm just trying to help you before you or some poor soul who reads this then goes around claiming "hai guys my racelands are supposed to be the same as teins guys on scionlife said so!" get it?
