ive been holding off on these for quite awhile now, saving up to go to fla with the wife, and now im kinda feeling alittle done with the "import" scene. im looking into getting a 50's project car, for a ratrod/classic look

yeah ive been in the import scene since i was 16/17 when i had a bora-vento(jetta) with neuspeed charger. then i went into a 02 civic si and now the tc. im tired of this scene. 50s cars are jus so classy and especially ratrods with flat black paint red steelies and white walls i dont mind the time or patience that comes with building them, but ofcourse im trying to look for a decent project car with a good decent motor and little to no rust. so far ive seen 4and for decent prices anywhere between 3k and 6k all negotiable 53' chevy bel-air, 53' chevy 2dr 210 model, 56' buick 2dr hardtop, 51' ford f1 pick up

yeah I know what u mean but I'm jus tired of it. I'm pretty sure my last mod for the tc will be these coilovers and then that's it, I'm keeping the tc as a DD and then I'm gonna look for/buy a 50s car and move onto that. I plan on keeping the tc for awhile, good reliable car.

Exactly.
Another way I look at it is..the import scene all of us are into..
The cars are extremely reliable and are daily drivable ready.
Where as the old 50's muscle cars take some much time, money, and patience to even get to the point where you could use them as a DD.
And by the time you get it to that point, you've throw so much money, and sweat into it that you don't want to DD it as a precaution so nothing terrible happens to it.
