for a little bit ive been saving for some wilwood brakes kit but i jus started reading about rotora brakes now i ain to familiar with the whole brake upgrade soo someone help wich one is better money isnt a total option thnks you guys.

I haven't really heard anything negative from either company... so if money isn't an issue.. I would go with the company that has been around longer and has more products for you car... and as for upgrade do you men better rotors, lines and pads.. or a whole big brake upgrade??

if Not...why spend money on a BBK???...It be a BIG waste!

Just get some PowerSlot Rotors and some Good Pads!!...IMO!

Yeah, but a mean looking set of brakes is important to some people. I can't afford a BBK, so a more basic upgrade would be fine for me, but if I had the money I'd be all over a sweet BBK.

It is a little more about stopping than looks But yeah, a basic pad and line upgrade does wonders on the tC

I agree with the others, a BBK is a bit excessive. Pads, stainless steel lines, and better brake fluid will make the biggest difference... it's also no wonder why people believe BBK are better because all of these items get upgraded in the process. The stock rotors on the tC are pretty good, so all a rotor upgrade is good for is looks. BBK are great for road course use and canyon runs because they can take more abuse and heat than stock rotors, otherwise, your wasting a lot of money in the name of fashion.

That being said, I just picked up a set of used Wilwood 4 piston brakes for the tC that I'm in the middle of rebuilding... :D

Nice man! Yeah I went from oem - pad, rotor and line upgrade to wilwood fronts + powerslot rears.... So I have done it all with the tC I would not trade my setup for anything else I have run so far hehe.

thanx guys a bbk isnt jus bout the stop its about the style and look also im jus weird like that the minor upgrade is good to know so thanks on that tip i jus really want a bbk....

kk well can any one anser me if abbk will fit 19 cuz im goin to 19 b4 i do the upgrade is there any specific wheels that wouldnt support the rims

It all depends on your offset and wheel width, all of the BBK for the tC will fit in a 17" or larger wheel.

Wheels with 1-2" lips generally won't, as the spokes are bending back further onto the wheel to allow the lip to be there. This bending won't clear the caliper of a larger brake kit. 19"s will clear vertically though, don't worry.

These are my old wheels. A BBK would not clear it. See what I am talking about?

I heard that Wilwood's dont have sufficient dust covers, so you'll start hearing squeeking noises when you brake if you dont clean them well. Rotoras are second to stoptech, and a good choice if money is a factor

I'd say 13'' front slotted and X-drilled with a 4 pistion front brake caliper, and 12" Slotted/X-drilled with 4 pistion rear caliper... Anyone know of that kit? lol

A 4-piston BBK doesn't exist for the rear because it would severely impact the brake balance of the tC. If you've seen the brake pads for the rear, even two piston brake calipers are overkill.

No BBK for the tC has dust covers. As for which BBK is better, no one, including StopTech, has yet to publish a report or conduct a shoot-out between the BBK specifically for the tC. IIRC, Rotora uses the same piston sizes as StopTech but use a much smaller rotor than StopTech and Wilwood, so there is no accurate information to claim which is better.
