Do you need to replace the end link on these coils? Does it do anything special as in adjustments? Need to know ASAP because we are about to install the rears.

Yea replace them cause the endlinks from the stock suspension are too long and they can cause to much stress on the sway bar to the suspension

Cool i definitely wont be replacing the end links. So now i have a new problem, Whenever i turn the wheel a certain way (while not moving) i hear a clicking noise coming from the front passenger side. What could this be? Its too quiet to be an axle or anything like that. I'm thinking its something to do with the install. My front passenger strut also makes a noise as if its blown when i go over a bump in the road but i know its not blown! I'm going to check all my bolts and such today and see if i can figure it out but I'm really not sure what it is. I dont like much noise coming from my suspension so it kind of worries me.

I was talking to ScionJim23, and he told me that in the instructions that was provided in his box (which I did not get) said..
Quoted:
"-Slight noises may be heard from MacPherson Strut type coilovers applications when car is turning, thus causing some "binding" noises at times. This is not uncommon.
-Adjustable end-links are provided in applications that require them, the end links need to be adjusted according to vehicle height.
-the lower the vehicle the shorter the end links. there should be no stress on the endlinks in installed correctly.
-If endlinks are not tightened properly, noises will be heard as well. this is usually the culprit of noises as the locks of the end links are not tightened enough."

bringing this thread back.
Ive decided I'm going to remove the 2 perches on my fronts once is gets warm. Does the bottom just spin right off to let you take everything apart? And how did you guys measure your height with just the one perch on? And do you leave a little more height on the driver side for the extra weight ect?

1. yes
2. I just compressed both springs to 7 inches and removed both rings and lowered them all the way, however once I did that i noticed my driver side was lower than my passenger side. So i put back a perch on that side and it evened it out. So I have just the gold perch on the passenger side and the gold perch plus a red one on the driver side. It sucks cause I wish that my passenger side would go as low as my driver side!

thanks man.
you mean you just have a red perch on the passenger side?
and on the driver side one red and the gold?
I was thinking about just removing the gold rings first and seeing how much lower it will go without those.
i just picked up some 18x9.5 et30. So I'm going to have to remove my fender liners and roll my rims once i get to a certain low. I was going to try and put that off for as long as i could, but i think its going to be the first thing on my list.

yeah thats what i was thinking. dans old rims (dpt852). I'm still deciding on tires, what do you guys think? Can i get away with 225.40? or should i just stretch 215.40's onto them? or to 215s up front and 225s in the back?

Oh okay yea those are some pretty nice rims, If your thinking of running 225 go with 225/35/18 with how low your going u will be able to clear no biggie, but it's up to you I'm running 215/40/18 on 18x9.5+38 and I still have some room when I look under my fender from the top of the tire to fender liners

Yea I have my fender liners and even when I had 225/40/18 maxed out all the way I had liners although at the time my set up was weaker so I dunno u should ask chicotunner I believe he's running 225 or someone who's running that wheel set up but I still trimmed parts of my fender liners to not rub but most of it is still there
