Default oven paint for calipers ?

has anyone tried using anyother type of paint besides the ones that come in the kits to paint the calipers with them actually holding up for a while ? i have done it with engine paint and it did not last all. it flaked and looked like crap. i was wondering though cause when you look at how the paint holds up to the flames says its durable. i got stainless braided lines so i might just try it and see how it comes out, anyone have any ideas ? ill post pics tomorow of what it looks like when im done.

Flaking is usually caused by poor prep prior to painting or extreme weather elements.
If you must, lightly sand your calipers so the paint has something to 'stick' to. Also,
clean the calipers really good (use an old toothbrush) after sanding with caliper cleaner.
Prepping is just as vital as painting. Do it right and you should have no worries.
