Overall Best Strut Bar?
Hey all. I was wondering what strut bar you guys think is overall the best based on: cost, appearance, performance, etc etc. Also, is it a major waste to get installed by the dealer, should i just do it myself? Thanks

It's one of the easiest things to install and not worth paying anyone to do it....
As for which is the best.... That's debatable...
I like my Tanabe Adjustable... It ran like 95 bucks and is very strong. plus has a nice chrome look.

Greddy has the looks and functions well too. In the end they all work well and all have their pros and cons. Something is better tan nothing and the most important factor is how you install it (jack up the car first). So to me the deciding factor is the looks vs. price. I chose the greddy. I heard the hotchkins gets in the way and is harder to install but have no personal experience with it.

^^Thats right!
I can tell that the front strut bar and rear sway bar from hotchkis are a breeze to install but the front sway bar is a pain in the @$$. Why? The strut bar and the rear sway I installed them myself at home but the front sway I couldn't, so I took it to the dealer to get it installed and they told they had to drop the cross member to install the front sway bar and after that align the car. But performancewise my dad was test driving the car after all bars installed and I was passenger, he was driving and took a 90 degree turn with a green light at 60 mph and the car didn't even roll or anything it felt as if he had taken the turn at 25 mph.
In the looks department, the hotchkis strut bar has an aluminum brushed look.

Hmmm I was thinking of getting a front strut bar also but what I hear they make little or no difference.... So I'm guessing saving up for hotchkis Sway set is best. I already have TRD Rear Sway and that made a huge difference.

My guess is DC seems to be more solid than the others.

I noticed a diff with my dc bar when i drove the car hard. The trick is to preload it correctly and you will feel the difference, big or small. For me the diff wasn't huge like with a trd rear way, but I could tell in a hard fast turn like an on or an off ramp that the car felt much more solid, quick little turns i didn't feel anything.

Struts are going to be as strong as the weakest link in the system. IMHO that looks like the place where the strut bolts on each end to the towers. So, unless one setup has killer bolts, I don't think one stup is going to be better than another in terms of performance.
