Yes it's ok. Most aftermarket springs come with some sort of Powder coating for color and protection.

^^^ Agreed, springs on the tC are not going to be easily seen by anyone. Different color painted springs are only nice to look at on lifted trucks.

Another thing... Does paint really work on springs? I would think that they would chip or flake off since the spring compresses and expands whenever the vehicle is in motion.

Wouldn't they have to include some sort of flex agent in the paint to compensate for the constant movement? I think the last time I seen someone cut springs, the coating was a more like a plastic-dip or rubberized kind of coating. I could be wrong since nobody cuts springs anymore and it was a long time since I seen anyone dissect a spring.

i dont see why you would paint your springs. you cant see them unless you look under or take off the wheel. also your just going to be trying to imitate a company by painting it their color.

just save up your money and dont spend it on these kinds of things and then get the legit ____. my .02 but then again do what you need to do.

You people are not reading why he wants to paint them. For Anti-Rust/corrosion.

Powder Coating would definitely fit the bill for that. However painting them would last for a while too..... not sure how effective it would actually be though

Not to be a pain in the rear, but why would anyone be concerned about rust/corrosion? Even stock springs already have a coating that prevents that from happening.

hit them with a primer and some paint and they will stay in good condition for a while........for best results take them into a shop that does powder coating and get them done.........it is fairly cheap.......and lasts a long time.
