Well yeah, I got it too when i was on stocks. But this is wayyy more sensitive than the stocks. I donno... I think it could be the larger pad surface arear grabing the rotor.. more arear to grad so it kicks it off easier. Either way, I still like them

my 19"s are lighter than stock 17"s, so that doesnt come into play. they are better than my stocks because they are lighter, and my tires have more surface to grip the road.

ABS hasent really been an issue for me, but w/ or w/o a BBK, if you are on the brakes, and hit a hard or sudden bump, ABS will more than likely come on.

yes. but IMO wilwood is overkill. i know a few people that have them, and they are too powerful for daily driving.

Crazy to think that since Wilwood is probably the least expensive bbk company.

That's because they are one of the bigger and more diverse aftermarket brake manufacturers; sales volume tends to lower pricing.

As for them being overkill for daily driving, again, all BBKs are overkill on tCs that don't see the track, but in this case it comes down to pad compound. Wilwood offers a more aggressive brake pad than Rotora and TRD/StopTech BBK (they include Axxis Ultimates with their kits). I'm sure if those Wilwood owners installed pads similar to the Axxis pads, they would probably feel the closer to Rotora or TRD/StopTech.

Their own BP-10 pad. It's in the same performance class as the Hawk Blue, Carbotech AX6, or Pagid 4-4, so they are really not true street pads.

No one else is rocking Stoptech BBK in here. I personally think that they are the way to go. Awesome product, great customer service, a all around good deal.

I have the Stoptech BBK up front and the stage II rears. I love the kit. It squeals a bit but that is bc of the pads so no biggie. On the track they are amazing. I can lap for 30 minutes going as hard as I can and never once have to worry about brake fad. And FYI, that is why you buy a BBK. BBKs for street cars are made for increased brake life on the track. If you want shorter stopping distances get better tires or lighten up your car.

Anyways here are some pics.

Did you purchase the Stoptech bbk from your dealer or Stoptech directly? I was gonna go Stoptech (I have a friend who works there & they were supposedly going to sponsor me but couldn't) before Endless but they claim they can't sell the tC bbk directly or sponsor tC's because they've sold all their rights over to TRD.

thats correct. i talked to a guy that works at stoptech and since trd bought out all their scion rights they can't sell anything scion direct. but if you ask about their celica kit they can do that. its a little loop hole

TRD licensed the model number, so the Celica/Matrix/Vibe BBK are no longer directly availible from StopTech either.
