Questions bout TRD Springs n Shocks
im really considering on goin wit the TRD springs for rite now n den maybe upgrading later on to gettin the shocks... do u guys think i should get everythin all at once or if i juss get the springs now, how long until my stock shocks blow out....

get it all at once. It is much easier to install once than twice. and cheaper if you don't plan on doing it yourself. I just installed my struts and springs (TRD) two weekends ago. You probably only want to do it once.

I'll tell you what I am very impressed with the performance of the TRD springs and struts. The struts give a VERY compliant ride. My girlfriend didn't even notice a difference (ride wise) from stock except for the fact that I was taking on-ramps at 70mph now.

Also, are you lowering for performance or looks? That should also be taken into consideration. I did it for a bit of both, but I dont mind the softer stock shocks because the roads suck in Boston.

I just got my trd springs and shocks but I havnt installed it yet. How much install price should i be getting living in Cali(i dont want to get ripped off)? i mean shouldnt it be only one hour labor since they got all the machines and stuff? And also, if i get it aligned after install, will the tires wear out evenly? And does aftermarket springs/shocks not last as stock and they start slouching making ur car bottom out and stuff?

The only reason you would bottom out is because you lowered the height of the car. Just be careful going up steep driveways although it's tough to avoid the occasional scrape here and there. As far as the time for install I think the dealer charged for 4-6 hours of labor for the install. They had to keep mine overnight.

it took me 3.5 hours to install my struts and springs the other weekend. I have air tools now, but honestly, I only use them to disassemble things. I never torque things down with them. I had no help...it was just me. So with a helper, maybe 2-2.5 hours.
