Raceland Coilovers or Koni Struts?
Hey Guys,
Just wanted to get some opinions on what set-up i should go with. My car has 118k miles and im still riding on stock struts with road magnet lowering springs so im probably way past due for new struts.
My question is if you guys think i should just go with some raceland coils instead of replacing the struts? I know a lot of people rock the racelands and seem to have no issues whatsoever and thats what im leaning towards.
If it was your car what would you do?
Thanks.

Well i would like a little bit lower but im not goin for the hella flush look if thats what your asking. I dont auto cross my car or track it. Its just a DD that takes a little beating every now and then.

Unless your struts are blown, you are not over due for them.
Struts alone will not lower your car, so if you get struts and want to sit lower, you'll need springs too. Racelands are pure garbage.

I do have springs that drop my car about 2 inches in front and rear. The reason i say im over due for new struts is because im on stock struts and my car is over 115k with about 35k on aftermarket spring. The ride is not too bad but a bit more bouncy and seems to be more body roll in corners.

Your springs and sway control body roll, not your dampers. Dampers only control how fast it occurs. Your springs are too soft and you dont have enough bar, which is why you have more roll than you like. Stiffer springs is the first thing to combat body roll up to what is practical on the street for stiffness. Then a bigger sway will correct it further.
You are also too low to get the best out of your suspension geometry, but i figure you are already decidd that you want to be that low so there wont be any changing your mind there.
At that mileage and on those springs I dont doubt your stock struts are about done. If they are then running better dampers will be an improvement, but its not going to reduce body roll or fix improper geometry and springs that are too soft.
