Are you going to track race this car? If not, it is a waste really, just adding weight and making the interior more cramped.
If you are not prepared to do any cutting or fabricating that may come un-expectedly during install, then I would have someone else do it, or at least take a very close look at it before you start.

if its a pre-made kit like an autopower cage/bar, its a snap to install.
basically assemble the bar inside the car and start drilling. if you plan on keeping the whole interior, it'll be hard work to get the panels/rear seats to fit around the bar cleanly (lot of measuring and cutting involved). i've installed bars on my vw, 240, and friend's civics/integras. always fun stuff.

Autopower is the manf that will be developing the roll cage and roll bar(s), no worries there
Install will not be that difficult, at least to someone that has experience in modding cars.
Unfortunately they have received alot of orders recently and have to put this off until around the middle of September
I am the one organizing this because I want an SCCA approved roll bar for our project car as soon as possible and of course help all that want a bar or cage to have them available.

Mild steel can be ok, DOM is far better, what Autopower uses and they are SCCA approved so a real cage not a show cage which may be the case with the other company. I do not know this for certain so just speculating but I do now autopower does it right, not a poser company;)
