Rubbing issues
I dropped my car with stechs. the drivers front has rubbed a hole in the fender liner in front of the bolt that holds the bumper and the fender together when i go over almost any bump or dip in the road faster than 15. Im looking for ideas to stop this im dropping my car off at a body shop on monday to have my carbon fiber hatch installed should i ask about getting my front fenders rolled some? Or any other solutions? My wheels are 17x9 with 46 offset i believe with 215 45 17.
Thanks for any help

Should've put a heat gun to that bump on the fenderliner and pushed it in as soon as you noticed it, that's what I did and the rubbing is gone, or at least minimized. That's how I'm working on any rubbing issues I have when it comes to the fenderliner, heat gun and mold the plastic. I'm trying to keep the fenderliners in, just doesn't look right removed.

Ive searched around and haven't seen many that did which is what puzzled me. I worked the liners some and it took care of it at highway speeds. And I do have sto k struts as of now I intend on replacing soon.

Good to hear the method I mentioned work out for you.
Spicy, he's running an aggressive setup on 17s and haven't noted anyone on S-techs doing that, also with the soft spring rates of S-techs that doesn't help which is why people run adjustable coilovers when going with similar wheels setups, you already know this though.

17x9 with 46 offset isn't that aggressive. Especially to cause rubbing issues with the wheel liners. Fenders MAYBE but lines, iffy. I had no rubbing issues on s-tecs with by 19x8.5", then once I got my coils I was forced to rip out the liners. meh

It happens! It took me a few times of reading to comprehend today, since I just switched shifts again and was not with it at 2am.

I had S-Tech with OEM Strut, with 18x8 ET48 it rubs really bad when I first had 235/40 on it, then I replaced it with 225/40 which got better, I notice it rubs when I'm driving off the driveway or going 70mph+ over a dip on the freeway. It's kinda helps the rubbing a little when I switch to Raceland Coilover which I can raise the height up little bit higher then the S-Tech and it will be stiffer for it to rub, but too bouncy. but again I think he'll need to good set of shocks if he's sticking with the S-Tech.

If you want to go with garbage like racelands, go ahead. The only advantage racelands have are height adjust-ability and are FAR from a true coilover. If you get a real set of coils, you can enjoy height adjustable, adjustable dampening, and some even come with adjustable top mounts for camber.
