H&R Sports are pretty close to the right drop, but I dont know the rates. From the info I know of, the closest are the TRD's, only they dont have the really high rates.

Here is the most info I have seen in one place:

thanks engi

well i know i am lower than 1.4 as the fronts tires are almost even with the fender and the rears are about a 1 finger gap...thats b/c i like the look right now...

but if i were to auto-x i would adjust them the friday before...

also i only plan on attending very few events....

where are the "oinch welds" i will measure there to give you guys a number that you will know...

btw i am not looking to out handle anyone...im really letting this be a learning experience, and as long as you will present help in a respectful fashion i will have no problem following it...i actually expected to get crap for buying ksports and not knowing certain dimensions...but you guys took it easy on me i guess...

The pinch weld is the seam that your place the jack under along the sides of the car.

With autox, the best idea is to go out and just have fun. Its not like you win a million dollars and are surrounded by hot, half naked women if you are the #1 guy out there Take the time to talk to the other guys out there, if they have "instructors" (very experienced guys who volunteer between their runs in our club) and you can have them ride along, let them and listen to their advice. Just race against your own times up front.

And the best advices is to run what you brung and improve your driving. You will have a lot more room for improvement in your own skill up front that by modding or tweaking. As with any sort of performance driving, the first thing to adjust is the nut behind the wheel

ill go measure that in a minute

i know that im the one that needs adjusting...and there is a lot of room for adjustment behind the wheel too...lol

and i know the basics of balance like if you over steer throttle can help and if you under that lifting can help...i just havent had the opportunity to try myself...

but do you think i am too low?? should i not try to get back close to 1.5" come race day??

I would set it to 1.4" all around if you can. A few have done the math and testing and found that to be pretty much the optimum point.

With a FWD car, you will start to learn that trailbraking (braking hard and short after you start the turn) will help you rotate the car in a lot of situations. However, dont get too hung up on thinking about those items up front. You will find it naturally after you do it for a while.

yea...well i just meant that its natural for me to use the right foot to try and fix minor rotation or understeer....

alright i will do that

The right foot works good as well It is always a mix of methods. If you are going fast (since you will almost always be in 2nd) you will be running at high rpm, so lifting the throttle will serve as applying the front brakes, so in that circumstance you can use that to rotate.

But if you already arent itching for autox, go to the autox thread

:D

There are some good pics in it as well as some video. I have some vids on a few pages towards the last half of the thread. Fun stuff and very addicting!

all i know is that they dont have adjustable dampening which isnt necessarily a bad thing but with coilovers you pay for the adjustability so why not have more than just heighth...

Damping adjustments can get you into the scenario of not knowing how you want them set up, which can take a bit of time to figure out. However, my opinion is that you should get the adjustability if you are going to spend the money on coilovers. The SS-P's get you the damping adjustment along with the pillow ball mounts so you can adjust camber.

It's approx 8.5 inches front and rear, pinch weld to ground. That's on a BONE stock car.

TRD or Progress will be what you hear most. I have the TRD rear bar and really like it for autox applications.

If you want to swap both out, the hotchkis set is even more aggressive, and was what I was going to get for next season (autox). However, after doing more autoxing and thinking, I am possibly going to hold off on that. Going with a significantly higher spring rate will further help body roll and not sacrifice any more suspension independence. So Tein SS-P's or similar coilovers may be my choice next along with corner balancing and tuning them properly.

The standard Progress bar will be good. For advanced drivers for the track only you can ask them for the 1-inch solid Dan Gardner bar. The stock front bar is all you need, changes will likely not improve handling.
