depending on how old your car is, you could replace the power steering fluid with synthetic dextronIII/mercon fluid, (I used Valvoline ATF Automatic Transmission Fluid) all you need to do is suck the old fluid out of the reservoir with a turkey baster and pour the new stuff in, turn the wheel a bit, and repeat over and over again, then say the next day after you drive it a bit, do it again a few times to make sure you got everything.

my steering wheel loosened over time and that helped to bring back that tactile feedback I wanted

sorry, but that's speed-adaptive power steering, and you won't get that on a TC.

You'd still be better off draining the stock fluid though

Firstly, you can drive the speed limit, there's nary a road with a speed limit over 65, and secondly, you shouldn't make or need to make twitch-reaction movements at speeds over 50, higher speeds require less inputs, I'm much happier on the highways breaking the speed limit having the response I do with our power steering than any dumbed-down, completely numb pseudo-luxury car's excuse for a steering system.

If you want a good steering system, drive a porsche or a BMW. Now that is engineering.
