Default Stiff stiff suspension

My boss had a 1988 Mustang that had full tubular suspension, and poly bushings everywhere to hold the body, and he said that thing turned. No matter what way, that thing turned.
I want to replace my suspension, because its either my stock tc has either too much body roll stock or the suspension is too soft, so I want a mad stiff suspension like my bosses old mustang. I dont have much of a budget though, so can someone way out my options?
Thanks in advance.

Well right now I don't think there is a company that makes poly bushings for the tC... maybe one in developement but nothing I heard.

So you options are Coilovers, Sway bars, and strut bars. Coilovers and Sways are going to make the biggest difference. And you could get both of those from 900-1500 depending on the coilovers and if you want just a rear sway bar or a front as well.
Check the parts section on the features drop down menu and it will give you an idea of what is out there.

If you're gonna drop a lot of money, go with the Tein SS-P Coilovers with pillowball mounts, Hotchkis front/rear sways, and strut bars. Oh yes - get camber links as well.

The FIRST thing you should change though, are your tires.

You don't really want a "mad stiff" suspension. You want a set-up that all works together to give you the best handling tC your budget can afford. As someone else already said your first suspension mod should be good, really good tires. Tires are the first component of your suspension that is used and all too often the last one upgraded.

Coilovers are the easiest way to get a complete set-up that is made to work together. Coilovers include spring and dampers (shock/struts) that are adequately matched together. If you buy "stiff"springs and don't upgrade your dampers your car won't handle for squat. You can usually get away with getting better dampers and keeping the stock springs to improve ride performance, but dampers are usually more expensive.

Tein SS-P's (Super Street w. pillowball) are an excellent and relatively economical CO (they are at the top of my suspension mod list). Add in a good rear sway bar (RSB) and a front strut tower brace FSTB and you will have a pretty good handling tC. At least as good as you can with a limited budget and buying consumer level parts.

Go with a nice ste of aftermarket springs/coils,sways, Ingalls rear 4 point brace and some good quality tires.

Hotchkis front and rear sways will definitely kill the body roll the most. Springs will help too. If you do strut braces just try to keep the rear stiffer to avoid understeer. Mine's stiff enough with Hotchkis springs and sways that the back will slide out a bit around corners with enough speed.

Actually, the swaybars have more effect on over/understeer then strut tower braces will. A big RSB will induce oversteer, but putting on the FSB will negate that making the car more prone to understeer. A RSTB helps flatten out the ride a little, but not a whole lot.

I only have TRD springs with a front and rear Hotchkis sway bars and it's night and day compared to the stock tC. I drive pretty aggressively on local streets and destroyed my stock tires at 15k miles. -_-

I went with the more affordable setup but I can imagine how much better a whole coilover setup would feel. One day...
