you should feel something, but it shouldnt feel like something is hitting your back or behind. Is it too bouncy or too stiff?

You're riding on low-profile 17s... It's normal.

guess you shouldn't upgrade your suspension if even the stock suspension feels crappy.

I notice every bump in road, minor and major. My guess is its too stiff. Like patches in the road, most cars glide over it, mine however you feel when you go over it. Kinda like its not absorbing any of the road conditions.

Upgrading suspension would make it worse?

yes, you will not like upgraded suspension then. stock suspension is probably the softest you will get. you should see my basics if you think stock is bad, haha. i love it though

its because the tc has somewhat of a sport suspension like the corolla type s, and we are riding on 17 low pros to maybe another thing with your car is that your air pressure in your tires is to high normal is between 25-30 30 being max and you really dont need it that high

Damn if you feel every bump on stock suspension, how you gonna act if you lower it? Stock suspension road like a big caddy for me, guess I dont expect much.

The tC definately does NOT have a sport suspension, if anything, many people gripe about the stock suspension sucking, performance wise.

The Corolla S type has nowhere near a sport suspension neither, I have one on my family and that thing is like driving a cloud compared to my tC.

The recommended tire pressure on our stock tires is 32 psi front and 29 psi rear.

What kind of car did you come to the tC from? This might explain alot.

I think the tC suspension is a good balance for everyday driving and uh.... everyday driving. Yes, you wouldn't want to upgrade your suspension. Maybe swap to a 16 inch wheel and tire package is the best you can do if you like it softer.

Or keep the 17s and go to a 50 series tire

Actually the tC has a nice suspension setup -responsive yet smooth -but if the road conditions are just right it will bounce you on your seat.

If you got the optional TRD anti-sway bar in the back it has a tendency of delivering a stiffer ride.

Like the others mentioned every upgraded suspension component you purchase for the tC will provide more responsiveness... and a harsher ride!

this may not be the best idea, but lowering the tire pressure will help in ride quality but make handling worst.... but it will have a more comfy ride.

Wierd that you complian about the stock tC.. My wife has a 2003 Mazda 6 (v6) and it rides sooooo smooth... Serious suspension on the stock system.. i love her setup and its the stock original setup. hmmmmmm....

Wow sorry for such a late reply but I have been so busy with school and work.

I wouldnt say that I am complaining about the suspension so much, just not used to it. Or I am kinda used to it now.

Came from a 94 sentra which seemed to glide over most everything. No biggie now though, I rarely notice it anymore unless I think about it.

I'm thinking of lowering it a bit, but I am way noob when it comes to cars. What should I be looking for?

its possible your sentra had some pretty worn out suspension since it was a 12-13 yr old car. that would float lots more. the low profile tires on the tc will also transmit a lot more bumps too. if i was you i wouldnt lower it or put bigger wheels on.

Wait until you actually lower your car it's going to get worse. It's pretty normal to feel the bumpiness. I'm guessing you have gotten used to some air suspension car before you got your tC?
