Strut bar vs Sway bars
So im starting to work on my suspension and wasnt sure what would be more beneficial to get first... sway bars or strut bars and whether to get the front or rear ones. cause im most likley going to get one at a time. can anyone help me out? thanks

i have the hotchkis from strut bar and did notice it a bit when turning. My front end doesnt turn up anymore, it stays flat now. Some people think its only for show but i did feel mine do something.

trd did wonders for me, not as stiff as hotchkis but are great.. If you are autocrossing then go for hotchkis, I wouldnt go for struts but if you want to invest on it thats fine just dont expect some change in handling coz if there is, you may not notice.

Progress Rear Sway Bar....FTW!!....
The Front Strut bar doesnt do Nada...just cosmetic!
I recommend also the Ingall's 4-point rear brace too~!
Then I just installed my Progress Springs along w/ Tokico's Struts!...F'in AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

IMO, strut bars should be 1 of the last pieces to get b/c it's not really doing anything, especially on a daily driver. Rear strut bar is a complete waste on a tC b/c well, the car doesn't have towers to reinforce.

H&R makes an outstanding rear sway bar and it performed VERY well for me at the track recently. It's thicker and stiffer than TRD/Progress, but not as thick as Hotchkis and doesn't require a front sway bar to balance it out. Add some Dezod rear sway bar endlinks and you have a great combo.
The front strut bar barely makes a difference off the track, and the rear strut bar is a placebo, the only way it would be useful is if it was tied to the C-pillars. If you look in the back of Dan Gardner's race tC, you won't find a rear strut bar.
