Go to your dealership, the TRD bar and the HOTCHKIS bar are the same thing TRD just painted theirs red and slapped a TRD logo on it.

I don't know to which Hotchkis bar you are referring, but my TRD bar is nothing like any Hotchkis bar I've seen made for the tC. Is there a new Hotchkis bar out I haven't seen?

Nope, look again, they are not the same. I'll take better pictures tomorrow to show you. I know a guy with the same one you have, which I believe, is brushed aluminum. The TRD one is steel, much stiffer, and shaped differently.

You are right, they are not the same. I don't know where anyone is coming up with that. You can clearly see the bends on the driver side are not nearly in the same place. The TRD bar starts bending basically at the end of the engine cover, whereas the Hotchkis doesn't bend until near the master cylinder. I'll try to take a picture straight on tomorrow where you can really see that. Also, you can see the welds where the brackets on the ends are welded to the bar, as opposed to the Hotchkis bar where there are no visible welds. The TRD one may seem overpriced by some, and that's fine, but it is not just a painted version of the Hotchkis bar.

My hotchkis--^^^^

TRD's bar--VVV

this is why I said mine and the TRD bar's are the same...it's because they are...Hotchkis must have redesigned their bar and sold their old design to TRD

look at the angels of the pics and look at mine. Mine is coming from straight up top, yalls is comming from the side which is why you cant see the besnds? Thats probally why mine doesnt look like yalls, ill take a pic later on with the same angle and show yall! All 3 of ours still goes behind that black thingy right by the intake on the drivers side and that black hose goes over the bar!

Their all the same! just like Eibach is the one who makes the "TRD Springs". i blieve its eibach? Anywho, Hotchkis is the one who makes the "TRD Bar" just paint it red and put a TRD badge and add $50.

I guess i just got the 2nd gen Hotchkis bar? I bought it in jan or feb i think?

Okay, again, I'll take a straight on picture so you can see. I'm not confused about it because of the angle of my picture, I installed it and know what it looks like. And you CAN see the bends.

And also, they are welded differently, have different brackets, and are made of different materials.

Take and post a close up picture of the bracket and I'll do the same. I'll post this evening. Then we can settle this.
