Thanks Yanki, yes, that's exactly what I was looking for. In my pics, you should be able to easily see that the bar bends well before yours does, and also you can see the brackets are welded on, not bolted, and have a different shape.

I should also point out that I'd happily pay for my TRD one again, as I do love it. And frankly, the red color is exactly why I picked that one. Engine bay needed a little "zing" to it. I didn't want to take the time/energy to buy a different one and paint it.

If this doesn't clear up that there are differences in the two, then I don't know what will. And I feel like we've jacked this thread and should get it back on topic.

Oh yeah, and pardon the dirty engine bay - I'm slightly embarassed!

Peace.

Dude, they're not the same, look at the mounts, the TRD is welded, the hotchkis it held together by two bolts, the hotchkis is from what I hear, aluminum, the TRD is steel, the bends on the TRD aren't rounded like on the hotchkis, the TRD's passenger side mount is straight and at a greater angle than the right side mount. The right side mount starts to curve in much sooner to avoid the lil black cap thing. They are NOT the same.

Good, settled.

I'm not sure who makes it. It may be Hotchkis, I don't know. I just knew it wasn't the same one you have.

And yours is still better, huh? Someday we'll talk about the difference in strength between steel and aluminum...lol j/k (well, sort of j/k).

TRD is a better Strut bar from what I can see since it's welded and not bolted on like the hotchkis strut bar.

Here's a better pic of my Hotchkis, I had to take it of earlier today to get my CAI out...I got bored and decided to see if I could get my K&N CAI to work as a Short Ram Intake...no good.

This is why I said that the TRD and My hotchkis were the same, but TRD uses a differant metal, bracket, and welds instead of bolts

My bar and Yanki01's are both Hotchkis but his is bent differantly and has 2 logo's where mine has 1
