nobody has them i believe.

but from wat i got by talkin to a tanabe rep

he said taht the tanabe coilovers are aimed for a street application. for those who want springs and shocks, you can get that little EXTRA step by gettin the tanabes and its ride height adjustable too which makes it a + over a spring shock combo.

he also said taht this ride is soft but handles well (comparable to tein basics he said).

but if you believe they are too soft, you can get stiffer springs, they say it will not affect ride quality much but enhance performance!

they are pretty cheap IMO. seems pretty good. a lot of the tanabe spring people like there springs so im guessin there coilovers arent bad.

word of mouth is lots better than crickets... haha thanks. i guess ill have to be a first. as soon as tax return comes in im ordering them. ill post up pics and stuff afterwards.

yea, i posted a question about them as well, but no one seems to have them. I have read about the sustec pro s-oc types I & II on other vehicles. The general consensus says that they offer the most comfort of the coilover systems out there, usually meaning they are on the softer side, but still do give good handling. If you drive your car alot and don't autocross very often, they may very well be the best daily driver coilovers you can find, and at a price thats just a bit more than your basic spring and strut setup.

Personally, I'm gonna go with these hopefully sooner than later cause I think with the addition of a sway bar, the handling should be quite good, without the harsh ride of a tein with sway bar setup.

thats sounds awesome. thats the thing. the car is still my DD. so i want something nice. that i can still go have fun with. and still get a nice drop, with the performance. im planning on getting mine as soon as i get my bonus check and my tax return from work. so it might be a couple months. keep us posted on them if you get em' sooner.

i've been looking at these as well. tanabe's the way i'm gonna go probably. i just can't decide if i should go with the one without the helper spring, or if i should spend the extra $200 for the one with it. i'm probably gonna wait until about beginning of march to get them-concentrating on doing all my audio stuff for now. looked into the progress and the new h&r coilovers already as well, hopefully the buddy club will be available soon(they're prob gonna be more expensive though). the thing i like about the tanabe is that u can go with a 3/8" drop for winter and crappy potholed new york roads.

if you get the coilovers, get it witht the helper springs. that will make your ride pretty smooth.

currently this is my plan. unless i find that i dont get as much money back from taxes as i think i will. 200 bucks is a bit of change for me most of the time. should be next couple months. the specs are nice on them both. and cant beat the sexy purple and red in the wheel wells.

i dont have coilver but i have the df210 tanabe spring for the tc and it give u a nice drop and nice ride confort.. i would buy them again.. also when looking into them couldnt get to much info on them but i went with them anyways. and it worl out good. love them

ive been searching around and it seems that the tanabe's are better than the tein's in ride comfort but they par in performance (tein basics)

a lot of people sell them. especially AUTOBACS

autobacs choose tanabe over tein... makes you wonder doesn it??DD

Does anybody know the initial drop of the tanabe's?? Cause I saw that it adjusted from 3/8" - 2", but I've heard that the Progress coilovers drop an initial 1.5" before adjusting.

^^ditto, the "better comfort" is a plus for me over the tein's since my car if def a DD.

damn, the choices just got even tougher with new coilovers from progress and H&R. Any of these systems should be good for a daily driver. I'm kinda leaning towards progress as I plan to get their sway bars as well. So....anyone have a review on tanabe, progress or h&r coilovers?
