Default tC allignment

the allignment on my tC pulls to the right a bit. i know i can get that fixed...but when i get to about 55mph the car starts to sway left and right pretty roughly... it almost feels like i'm gonna lose control. makes it pretty uncomfortable to drive on the freeway...when i get my allignment fixed, will this problem go away? has anyone heard of any recalls on the tc??

ya my car is kinda like that but not so dangerous though. i can manage. just have the dealer check if there is anything wrong.

puddles will mess up ur toe angle a little if you drive fast through them lik i do. and potholes... u know.

havent heard of a recall

yeah i am having an alignment issue.
first: the wheel was off to the right and it would track right. brought it in and the dealer did an alignment
second: now the wheel is off to the left and the car still tracked right. the dealer did the alignment.
now: the alignment is better. it tracks neutral, so it is very sensitive to and changes on the road. the wheel is still off to the left but just barely. this still gets to me, i am going to have the dealer fix that later when i bring it in for detailing. it seems to me the technician didnt want to get the wheel centered.

i wonder if i can cry lemon if it isnt fixed after the third time. i am also concerned that if i put in my trd springs will the alignment be all jacked up.

it could also be that your tire may have worn unevenly due to tire pressure or rolling along for a long time with the slight misalignment. with the outside of the tire more worn out it will sit angled and will tend to veer to the left or right. it happened to my girlfriend's car. the mechanic said the alignment was fine, but it it still pulled to the right. we latter found out it was the right front tire being unevenly worn. got a new set of tires and the problem was fixed.

so don't just check alignment. be sure to check the wear on the tires and that they are properly inflated.

yeah on the second attemp the tech cross rotated the tires, and that wasnt the problem. the tC has under 600 miles so the tires are spankin new. i feel the alignment is fine now. its just the offset steering wheel that gets to me. they tech shouldve adjusted the tie rod ends to compenstate is what ive been told.

some have talked about the first allignment being complimentary. did you pay for yours? I'm having the same problem, but only around 75 and not so bad as yours was, I think.

the dealer did not charge me the two times i brought it in. they were very courteous and took good care of me even though i didnt get the tC from them. if you have a slight pull i would definetly bring it in.

i actually never took it in for the third time. the alignment is actually okay now. it is just very Very sensitive to the crown on the roads and the freeway i take to work has a slight lean. i drove it on some back roads that were very flat and it stayed straight even at 100+mph. the steering wheel is still off to the left <1 degree but im not going to bring it in for another 4 hours of my day for that.

when i put the springs in i will have the wheel set right when i have a pro suspension shop do my alignment. my toe is set at exactly 0.0 and ive read that this makes it very sensitive. someone in the forums suggested that it should be 0.1 to adjust for the sensitivity. im not sure if thats 0.1 degrees inwards or outwards. where is reference angle for the toe made?
