Default tc owners beware lowering springs

ok....... so to make a long story short, i bought the eibach springs for my tc, had them installed by a well known body shop, started hearing noise as i drove away from the body shop after installation(like something was loose) brought it bak, they tell me i need a new suspension they try n charge me 699 for evrythin...............
went to scion dealer to get 2nd opinion seems like the idiot person who installed them didnt tighten the bolt right( or he probably just did it on purpose to try and get me to buy a 700 dollar suspesnion) any ways just be careful where you guys bring it too IMO bring it to scion they take kare of yu pretty well so if anywun heres noise its not suspension, i guess toyota has a special way to tighten up the bolts from what the guy told me..................
good luck

Sorry to hear about that. The shop that you took it to should take care of it. Sounds like their mistake.

BTW-That was one hellva run-on sentence.

Glad to hear it was taken care of.

On another note, can you spell or is your spelling that way on purpose? Really worried this is what our new generation is producing for literacy.

Hell yea dude! I would get a statement in writing (From Scion/Toyota Dealer) about how things weren't done correctly, and ask for a refund or some sort of reimbursement. If they don't try and do something to resolve, than I would take them to small claims court. That was BS and it could have made you have an accident. At the very least they should pay you back what you had to pay Toyota/Scion for repairing their shotty workmanship. Keep us posted on what the outcome is.

I have my suspension in the mail and wouldnt attempt it myself for the first time at least. Get a buddy like im doing who knows what they are doing and have him show you. The springs can be dangerous if not done right. I knew a guy who got injured bad from the spring snapping back at him. But that shop should have fixed it for free no questions. asked. I do know my tools but have never really worked on cars besides intake, exhaust, and stereo equipment installs.

No seriously. You're a complete moron if you think he's going to put your life at risk for about 20 bucks.

first off, this thread has nothing do to with dangerous lowering springs that we should beware of.

it should be about how you went to a shop that did a ____ poor installation. it happens.

you should have instead made a buyer/seller thread about the shop that did the installation.

I'd like someone to explain to me, how it's possible to run coilovers and shocks simultaneously.
