Default Tein Basic CoilOvers for every day driving? UPDATED w/ PICS

i need my car to be raised a inch or a inch in a half due to a new lip kit put on. i need to know if these coil overs are the way to go. i don't race at all, im mainly an all show type of guy. but i was hoping these coil overs will give me some what of a smooth ride.

I understand my ride will be stiffer whch is what i want becuz if i were to hit a dip i dont want to bottom out.

also will my handling increase???

i love the price and i will purchasing these coil-overs on your input.

( ive searched this topic and not much pops up on it jus bits and pieces.)

UPDATE. ok here are some pics. ok i was told i had a inch drop in the front thats it. this is how low it is, with 19 Inch Rims in All PICS

This Is The Kit I Put On. JP Vizzage Lip Kit.

Now This Is What it looks like.

Im going to put the stock srings back on and go from there. i hear you man when you say the coilovers won't really get me any were. i guess ill be selling some new Tanabe Lowering springs soon.

I have the SSP and they're fine for daily driving with the damper set in the middle range

I have the Basics and I have to say it's not that great for DD. Get the SS-P instead, since the adjustable dampener.

I'm also planning on getting the Basics. From my research, I found that the ride is a little harsher with the basics, but that the handling increases a good amount.

the roads here in Vegas can be bad but for the most part they are pretty good.

The Teins are inherently lower than the stock shocks&springs and cannot be raised higher than stock. Your Profile says you're already lowered an inch in front and 1.5 in the rear, Teins cannot be raised higher than 1.7" drop from stock.

if you need to raise the car because of the lip kit, you're out of luck, take off the lip kit or put the stock springs back on.

I don't think you're understanding the problem here

your springs are now dropped 1in in the front and 1.5 in the rear compared to stock

tein basics MINIMUM drop compared to stock is 1.7in

you need to raise the car higher than you have it now

....Still with me?

If you put the Teins on, it will be .7in lower in the front, and .2in lower in the rear compared to what you have now and CANNOT be raised up any higher than that

Okay, now, your only option to get higher than what you have now is to put the stock springs back on,

wow, must be a serious lip kit if you can't fit it on with a 1 inch and 1.5 inch drop, i mean really? why don't you just put on a huge wheel and tire combo?

also, coilovers aren't for dd's, they are for adjustibility when dialing in the suspension of a car for racing. if it is just for looks, don't spend so much money for coilovers.

and second what otacon said, put the stock springs back if clearance is so important to you.
