Default Tein coilovers stuck, can't adjust the height! anyone else?

I know this is supposed to be in the suspension subforum (but not many ppl go there) just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem or knows how to make it easier to adjust. I raised my front all the way for the winter and wanted to lower it back down for the summer, but when I went to do it, it was impossible to get it to twist. Therefore, my front is insanely high compared to the rear and I can't seem to adjust it at all, both seem "stuck" but i think it's just tough. Anyway to make it easier?

prolly just got some heavy duty dirt lock in there....

i am unfamiliar with adjusting coils but i imagine some good lube might loosen her up -WD 40 is the bomb

are you using power/compressor tools or hand tools?

hand tools, you use the tools that are supplied. i think that's the only way to do it, you use them and basically twist and keep turning them. they are the two metal tools on the left of this picture:

brian sorry i havent been able to hlep you out with this, i've been instanely busy at work,

try to use some penatrating lube (ie WD-40, or PB Blaster) to get any dirt out of the threads and maybe that will ease the process. if that doesnt work, maybe we could still find a date to get together and figure somethin out.

AIM me but im heading to bed now gotta work in teh morning, but should be home around 6 or so tomorrow.

Just to make sure, you are unlocking the 2 lock nuts first right? Thats why it has the 2 renches, Unlock the bottom and take it down, then the top nut should adjust quite easily. Also, are you trying this while the susp is unloaded, or it their load on the susp?

yes i put the bottom one down and no load on suspension (car was on jackstands), it's just tough to turn for some reason, i don't know. i guess i could spray some wd40 and give it another go.

Try penetrating lube spray. Probably winter weather that rusted it there. Glad I live in Cali, no seasonal conditions you have to worry about here.

brian, i use white lightning lithium grease on my coilovers EVERY time i touch them. they have never given me a problem. and before i make any kind of adjustments i usually go to a spray bay wash bay and pressure wash the coilovers before i even go to start adjusting them. now i have a question for you, when you say you had your coilovers all the way up what did you mean??? to teins specs or all the way to the top of the threading?????? i'm curious because i never went higher than teins specs and was worried about over extending my coils. hope my info helps and good luck.

Donnie
