Default Tein H Tech question.

Hello, I just got the Tein H Tech installed last Friday. I understand it still needs time to settle. Right now my back sits higher than my front end. I know that h tech drop 1.9 front and 1.5 rear, but are they close to even out when the springs are settled?

Anything I can do at all?

Also the guy who installed them did not cut off the bump stop.

Here is a quick pic.

Yeah. That's exactly what it should look like. Depending on how much you drive, it's Wednesday today, they should be settled. They aren't full blown settled, but that settling doesn't include more drop, that only means the springs will seat better and will be more comfortable. The front is always lower with springs. The only thing you can do to drop the rear is get coilovers, all springs will cause this effect. It sucks, I know. And if you haven't already, it would be about time to get it aligned. About the bump stop situation... I'm not entirely sure about H-Techs, but with S-Techs you have cut the bump stop almost in half. I'm pretty sure same goes for yours, the instructions tell you. But I would think he should have cut it, but I don't know for sure. Either way, it looks good. S-Techs would have been a little meaner, but it looks good anyways.

Thank you very much. Yes I do feel regretting that I did not get the S-Tech. After doing a little research, I heard S Tech is lower which wears out the struts quicker. I do like the smooth ride on the H Tech. I wonder what the S tech feels like.

Well... your research on the S-Techs were accurate. They are much harder on your stock struts. But it's a guessing game. Some people get blown struts in 10,000 miles, others will have them for over 100,000 miles with no problems. But if you were worried about having strut problems, it is good that you went with the H-Techs instead. As far as the ride, yeah, it's definitely nothing great. Haha. I'm sure you feel much smoother on your H-Techs. S-Techs are known to be rough at times.

All Tein's are hard on your struts.

Got them installed about 2 months ago.

The back is a tad bit higher. I put my stock springs in the trunk to help them settle a bit more(They arent in the trunk anymore)..or if you have a system that works too.

I too wish i would have gone with s-techs. I do like the drop but i wish i would have gone a bit lower.

How long ago is that picture? Mine seems higher than yours in the back. Did you have the bump stops cut when the springs got installed? Nice looking car by the way.

That was taken about 5 days ago. idk if they cut the bump stops but the springs were installed at an import tuner shop so they probably did.

Thanks!

I have another question.

The guy who installed the springs did not cut the bump stop on my car. Should I just leave it like that or should I take it apart and cut the bump stops.
