oh okay thanks. I might as well just get the struts tooo since ima pay someone for install. So do you guys know what a Fair price would be for a shocks and strut install? just an estimate so i know im not gettin jacked too bad

 

^ it aint cheap.....anywhere from $400-$600, unless you know someone who can help you out.

 

Wow 400-600 for INSTALL? u sure? wow thats pretty steep, yeah i got a quote for around 195 total for install. And that already sounded pretyt steep. But o well thanks alot. 195 sounds much better then 400

 

I dunno, just got install for 100 bucks... Mengsta, there are places in sf which will do it for 100 to 120 ish depending. 200 bucks is even kinda steep...

 

anywhere ive heard doesnt do it under $400. our rear springs are a b!tch to put in. but if you found a deal, then go for it. just make sure that the place knows what they're doing.

 

o yeah? wow 100 sounds reallly niceeee. Im kinda lazy to drive to SF in the moment. I was just planning to go to precision muffler since they r in milpitas and he quoted me 195. But damn 100? i guessi shuld search around again. Cuz i already bought tein springs and TRD struts. I do not want to pay too much for install.

 

Been riding around for a few weeks now and no problems. I have heard of the dealer raping people for 300+ bucks for springs or struts but thats about it. If they try to tell you that it costs more to do struts and springs, that is bull since it requires absolutely no extra labor...

 

well iono what to change the topic but im assuming a strut, spring install isnt something for a DIY with basic wrenches n stuff lol?

 

Its not ridiculously difficult. Just need jack/jack stands and basic tools and you can do it. Personally, would rather spend 100 bucks and have it done right while saving myself 1 1/2 hours, but i also think it is a great way to familiarize yourself with how the tc suspension works... As for tools, just search in the tech section and they'll tell you which tools you need. The list is probably stuff you already have...
