did you put the bump stops back in stock, did you trim the bump stops down, or did you leave them out completely?

I trimmed the front, it's aligned just fine, it's the rear that has problems. I didn't trim the bump stops on them or take them out, was I supposed to?

honestly, I can't even remember if the rears had bump stops in them....but yes....if you are having issues getting the rears aligned, and you did not trim them, then most likely that is your problem.

yeah the rear has bump stops, they're really small so I didn't trim them...guess I can just take them out

You probably don't want to leave them out....you'd risk bottoming out your struts, and possibly blowing them.

I'm just going over this in my mind....the alignment tech said that the fron was no problem, but the rear was unable to be aligned cause something was bottoming out? I might take that some other place...and get a second opinion. If they tell you the same thing, I'd take the bump stops and trim them a tad.

What's got me puzzled tho is this: the bumpstops are designed to prevent bottoming out, and blowing your strut up. I'm wondering if the tech meant that somethign was wrong with your strut, and it was repeatedly hanging on the bump stop, or if he meant that it was actually bottoming out. What kind of place did you take it to?

the thing bottoming out was a washer on the top of the suspension, sorry I don't know much about these cars yet. Is this a common thing

I'm not even sure what they are talking about. That doesnt make sense....how could a non moving part, not internal to the compression of the struts, be bottoming out. I'd say its not very common at all

i guess the washer is an oblong syhape and the side that needs to rotate was hitting something...they didn't seem too keen to foreign cars though

that washer is held into place...it shouldnt be rotating at all. If I recall correctly, it's held into place by the retaining bolts.

I'm just glad you ere able to get it fixed

ok, after driving a few days with the springs on, i've started hearing a clunk from the back pass suspension on hard bumps. I took it all apart and put it back together and made sure it was all tight. Is this something that the S-tech springs are known for or did i miss something.
