Tein S, Tein H, Skunk 2 or Hotchkis????

"Best" is up to you and what you think of them. I'd say look through the lowered tC pic sticky and see what look you like best.
If you want handling and performance, don't bother with Hotchkis or STechs (too low). I'm not sure about the Skunk 2.
Then again, I'd say go with H&R Sport, but I'm biased.

I used to have hotchkis and then switched to Htechs. imo, the hotchkis were better. The htechs are kinda mushy and a bit too soft after starting with hotchkis. However, the progressive spring rate make the teins way more comfy... Are you going more for looks or a performance drop???

i had hotchkis. they failed. rusted and split like a overcooked coiled hotdog. no exageration. im one of many that has had their hotchkis rust out. they start out amazing and stiff as hell then they go bad and start sagging. my car was SITTING on the tires when i turned left! soooo i moved to S-techs. they are STIFFER and set the car a little higher then where my hotchkis were at. if i were u i would avoid hotchkis springs and go tein. my car feels much more solid now.

S-techs = very small wheel gap, made for looks
H-techs = ~.4 inches more wheel gap then S-techs, more performance oriented
I have had S-techs for 2 years, never sagged.

my input:
i got hotchkis too and they started to rust between the coils ( no snow over here or salt)
but my biggest problem is:
the drop is less than 2 inch (1.7 on the fron and 1.9 on the rear)
but my car is too low for the toyota dealerships...
i had to find a place who would do my alignment.. after 4 garage sent me away because my car is too low, i found the place... well.. i still need to use 2x4's to get on the machine but at least they didn't send me away. but they didn't guaranteed that my alignment will last long.. and guess what.. in the last 30-35k miles i just got my 3rd set of brand new tires installed!
my bro just bought a Tc.. i will NOT let him buy anything but a TRD drop.. or maybe something whit a max of 1.5 drop
about the ride and feel: scrape the front almost every week!!!! and I'm trying to be careful...
if you hit a pothole or a bump above 30mph.. it KICKS HARD!!! my A pillar/roof makes a cracking sound sometimes.
and i got tokico shocks.

I love my hotchkis springs I haven't had them for very long so I can't say about rust issues I hope to never get rid of em because I think the drop is perfect.
I haven't seen many tC's on Skunk2 springs, but if my hotchkis springs went out tomorrow I would replace them with Tein s-Techs if more people would put up pictures of H&R drop I might consider it since they make quality goods. I've only heard good thing about the H&R's.

I would not go with hotchkis. They have had rusting and breaking probs plus some uneven drops. I hear great things formt he people running s-techs. But i wouls recomend H&R sports. I have these and they rock. So smooth and the ride looks awesome just the drop from these changes the look and feel dramatically.

s techs drop looks awesome but i would never go lower than hotchkis.. scraping.. tire wearing like crazy. uncomfortable ride... etc etc etc.. AND and s techs drop probably will hurt the cars handling
