I you have to notch the cover up front you will have water issues to deal with, would be better to make a bump in the plastic by either cutting out the area and glueing something in or possibly heating and reforming it(not easy)

For the rear there is probably plenty of room.

I have not seen the SS's without the pillow ball/camber plates but there may be enough room to clear everything as those are recessed 2" below the surface of the strut towers, which can be trimmed a bit, maybe heated and stretched just a bit more.

The real issue for us is that we adjust the camber quite often due to different uses of the car, 0 degress for drags, slammed way over to max negative for autocross(at least on the Matrix and probably the same here) a bit less for road courses and some where in between for the street on the way to events. This would require removing the front EDFC units to be able to adjust the camber

As of right now I'd be pretty skeptical of the adjustability of the TEIN SS shocks. Progress reported seeing erratic results from the shocks. I'd like to see a shock dyno of their adjustable shocks first.

Progress may not have it in their best interest to say anything good about Tein, unless they are now using Tein products as part of their line;)

I have never dealt with Progress directly or used their parts and I have not heard bad things about them so just pointing out a little something to think about. I have ridden in and driven a car like the one I had with their coilovers and was not impressed by the ride, rather stiff and bouncy but the guy had it slammed to low and probably past the effective range of the stock shocks, could of been blown already as well. With that limited experience I cannot say much about the Progress units, only one car, only one setting, not enough to qualify being a bad product by any means and I do know alot of people like them.

I have used Tein SS coilovers in some rather severe duty situations and been totally happy and just installed them with the pillow ball/campber plates on our soon to be autocross, drag and road course project tC

While I realize that it would be in Progress' best interest to bash Tein's coilover, I'd still be wary of them as the dampers in the SS have a poor reputation in the well established suspension sections of other automotive boards (read Honda Tech).

Like I said, I'd really like to see a shock dyno graph of the damper used in Tein's SS coil overs.

Ideally Koni will come out with some shocks for the tC and I'll be able to use those in conjunction with Tein's or H&R's springs.

I understand being hesitant then, I have never vistied a Honda board so would not see the postings. I have not heard anything negative on Toyota or Subaru boards though and I spend alot of time on them when I can, even moderate one.

I really did not mean to say Progress was bashing anybody, just pointing out the obvious potential for a conflict of interest

If you have any specific threads you can post here with substantiated info on the Tiens performance that would be great to see. Not saying so this time but most of these stories I chase down end up being some sort of internet gossip instead of any facts or real world experience posted by those that lived it;)
