You should be ok. You'll probably rub only on severe dips and bumps. Do it and post pix.

you're going to be alright. with that set-up.

as a rule of thumb: suspension before wheels.

^No 235s are wider than the 225s that you have.

225 is the width, 40 is profile, if you wanted a lower profile you could go 35 but there is no reason too.

nah you should be fine with people in the car,at worst the plaxtic liner in the fender int eh front will rub on big freeway dips but it iwll not hurt anything,I got 40 offset and have never rubbed.

My Yaris has 40 offset and is about 3/4" lower than the tC and it only rubbs if I take a corner really fast and hard,or hit a big dip.....and even then it is on the plastic and the tire......no worries.

Htech is a fairly stiff spring on the tC and does not let it lean very much in corners or rebound to much in dips.

when i installed my Htech drop, sway bars and strut bar i did not cut any bump stops or anything just installed it all and rolled out to get and alignment the front sway bar was a real pain though, actually all of it kind of was lol! but the car drives nice and fine im just trying to figure out the right size tires to buy i have 18x8 et35 wheels still in the boxes. have you installed the drop yet? i do not want to rub should i go with the 225/40/18???
