Default TRD Coilover Issues :-(

I have a 2007 Scion Tc 24,500 miles on it. I"ve had TRD springs since day
one, about 3 weeks ago I changed out my suspension and installed the TRD
Coil-overs. After install, anytime I go over bumps my front suspension squeaks like a little mouse. Instantly I removed the coils and inspected them and then re-installed as per the directions supplied by TRD... I made sure everything was tight and lubed and I STILL have this damn squeak....and to make it worse my girlfriend has an 07 Civic Si with a Greddy exhaust and she even hears the noise while driving next to me with her windows down. Needless to say the noise is driving me crazy. Someone even said it could be the motor mounts causing the squeaking but I'd rather get some more opinions before I jump to any conclusions. Any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks to all.

not to change the subject on anything....shouldnt it be the other way around..you have the si and she has the tc just wondering thats all........both are are great

now on to the subject if you know for certain its not the coilovers or not sure...the motor mounts wont squeak when your going over a bump...maybe its a defective shock or something

Yeah I agree I should have had the si....she makes fun of me for it all the time. lol It couldnt be a bad shock because both front coils make the noise...if i hit a bump with the left wheel I hear it...same with the right wheel. If I go over a series of bumps it sounds like a party of mice. lol Oddly though there are bumps it doesn't make any noise. I should probably mention I've only driven about 50 miles since install....perhaps they need time to settle in?

they might need time to settle, or the top/main nut/bolt on the upper insulator mount might not be tightened enough or the three bolts on the insulator mounts might not be tightened to the correct ft lbs... did you use a impact gun to tighten the top bolt on the upper insulator mount or by hand??

when i had a squeaking problem up front after going to trd suspension, the problem was the front sway bar bushings going bad. take a look at them, see if they need some greasing or replacing.

i was going to say it might be your seat, but you wouldn't be able to hear that from out side of your car

I tightened them with an impact gun...I even rechecked them with a mechanic the other day.

This sounds like it could be the possible issue....I'll look into my front sway car bushings. Thanks man

the front sway bar can be seen when you remove your wheel and look at where the little endlink (vertical rod connecting with the coilover and a 1" thick round bar near the bottom of the suspension) connect to. the round bar is the sway bar.

your problem might be your sway bar bushings, or maybe your endlinks are set at a bad angle. they have to be parallel with the coilover. kinda hard to explain sorry...

bushings are somewhere near the middle of the car but theyre probably hidden. the bushings are what holds the sway bar to the chassis.

Checked sway bar bushings and endlinks...they look "parallel" to the coilover to me. I put lithium grease everywhere on all nuts bolts bushings and coilovers....still hear the same damn sound. One guy at the shop said it could be because its cold...."27 degrees". I"m just gonna let it be...if something breaks then so be it....although I doubt a little squeak can be something THAT MAJOR. Thanks again guys.
