it's not that we dont like em. im sure theyre great but very few people have them becaused theyre so expensive or becasue they already have the trd springs/shocks. i believe theyre just rebadged progress coilovers, so you might be able to get some info from the people that have the progress coilovers and i bet theyll be the same.

yeah, if your concerned about warranty, get the trd, but they aren't the best coil overs out there and ar every expensive.

thats another thing i had in mind...i dont wanna compromise performance, but at the same time, i don't wanna void my warranty.

So i'm kind of in a bind as to what i want to do...

well, you won't void your warranty unless something you do to your suspension damages something related to it, like uhm...your half-shafts...or something.

aftermarket brand coil-overs shouldn't really void anything on your tc, but if something does go wrong with them, like you get a bad one, it isn't warrantied like the trd ones are.

warranty doesn't cover you damaging your car, it covers factory defect and errors in installation if it was installed by a trd/toyota dealership.

Default Dealer Installation

Well my dealer here in Raleigh, NC wants $650 to install the TRD springs!!! Anyone with an alternative installation suggestion down here in the Raleigh area???

Even up near Washington DC as I travel up there for work monthly.

Shouldnt be anywhere near that expensive for install.

As for the TRD coilovers, not as adjustable as the Tiens, but TRD quality... I personally wouldnt go with Megan but hey your car your call

I read about some Supra or SC300 owners having trouble with Megan exhausts. It could have been one bad batch but it was more than one exhaust and if a company can't get exhausts right, I would suspend my car with their product.

If you're interested in cars at all, I would do a coil over install myself with friends. Coilovers are easy. You don't even need a spring compressor. You just unbolt what's there, put in the coilover, and rebolt everything back in.

A lot of what I was afraid of was exposing the rear struts and that turned out to be pretty easy as well. There's a cover piece that covers the area between the spare compartment and the rear seats, once that piece is out, the rest just pulls out. You can even remove the whole rear seat assembly after that in a matter of minutes.

I helped my friend install TRD springs into my car. The only hard part was compressing the spring into the strut assembly and with coilovers you don't even need to do that.
