Default TRD Coilovers

Does anyone have these, or any constructive input?... Sparks has a decent price on them... Just would like to go TRD on a lot of items on my car, as they go with the scheme of things...

I was hoping to go w/ something red... As TRD, Megan Racing, Form and Function were my choices... Figured I'd just go TRD

TRD is OK from what I've seen.
I'd get Tein SS+P with EDFC instead.
Or if you really have the $$ JIC

You're seriously basing your decision on the color of coilovers?! WOW. That's probably the most ignorant thing I've heard all day. You should look into more important criteria when making an important decision that alters the characteristics of your car so drastically, such as: comfort levels you prefer and what type of driving you will be doing.

The Megan Racing coilovers probably wouldn't be a good choice either... They had issues... But if you are making your decision on the color, you should just get springs and be done with it...

Right and by going w/ TRD I figured that would be the best quality... It's not like I am picking up some Ground Controls and slapping them on...

Well the TRD coil'overs are the same thing as the Progressive coilovers....same thing different box.. IF you want quality go with JIC or Tein . I'm not trying say TRD parts suck but they are just repackage parts from some other manufacturer . Just like S/C is made by vortex..

See, now that's constructive input... Stated, they suck... Why because they're just repackaged Progresses... Ok...

I can deal w/ the green of the tein, I was just hoping to stay w/ a similary color scheme as the rest of the car... No biggy...

Unless this is a show car, which I'm presuming it isn't, no one will see your suspension, so the color of your springs/shocks shouldn't matter. It's like buying bananas only because you like yellow. What about the rest of the fruits? There could be better stuff out there than just bananas...

It's not all out show or anything close... But I was hoping to attend some local events this summer, and just figured it'd look good...

But Ive grown to love tein through the years, as I had the SSs on my lancer... Easily the best suspension mod I ever had, besides getting rid of the fat ex-wife... lol

I'd love JICs, but they are really overkill... Unless I can get a wicked price... Com'n now... Someone can come through for me... ;)

Actually the TRD's are different than the Progress ones. I used to think that they were the same and were just repackaged/recolored but as "Wendysorbust" pointed out to me, I was wrong...

Where did you hear that the TRD's are just rebranded coilovers?

For the same price as the TRD's you can buy coil over with much more features and options. The Teis are a bit bumpier from what I hear, I still what em tho. The TRD provide a smooth ride. I wish I could test out for myself....I'm having a hard time deciding
