TRD Front Strut Tie Bar
#41
hmmm, my freind has the hotchkiss, and the part that bolts to the strut is actualy a single piece that bolts to the main bar, you can see like rivits or something. in other words it looks like the end pieces are bolted to the bar.
the bar also seems thiner and flatter than the trd.
my trd bar is welded, one solid piece bar.....
and here is a pic of my tc cuz im such a pic ***** lol

The Hotchkis bar has 3 pieces, which are bolted together - the 2 end mounts, and the main strut bar. You put it all together yourself and tighten it yourself.
The TRD strut bar is a SINGLE piece - the end mounts are welded to the main bar. It's probably more structurally sound, because it's welded. Then again, all the stress is on the weld.
Personally, I still like the Hotchkis over the TRD - because of the brushed titanium look.
And yes, I did jack up the front end of my car when I installed my strut bar. I had to to get the bolts on and off on the driver's side.
