Default trd lowering springs

i want a reasonable amount of drop to minimize the wheel gap so i priced the trd springs with a dealer install in so cal., to protect the warranty. the spring price difference was not much; about twenty bucks across dealers but install differed a lot. from $410 to $1200 just for install. (in honesty one dealer quoted $1200 and when i laughed they said "wait let me check....okay scion owners get a break. it'll be about $600") still, $600 to install springs?

jeez, autobacs will install tein basic at around $800 inclusive. the labor was about $180

decision made.

Autobacs no longer installs parts brought in by owners. I had my springs installed for 120 at Dynamic Autosports in south OC. Took one hour and I was out of there.

maybe you misunderstood, the quote from autobacs included the tein basics with install. i wouldn't be bringing parts. but for a $120 install for the trds i change my mind. gonna call dynamic tomorrow. ty.

Maybe you forgot what you stated about TRDs. I was just letting you know that autobacs will not install TRDs bought from somewhere else.

thanks. i've done my share. did a timing belt, serpentine belt, water pump, thermostat in my audi 90 with an intrusion engine and no lock bar, just hoping the cam didn't jump before it was belted....but, i don't have the tools to do springs and don't mind paying a fair price for someone else to do it. and in fact, thanks to you folk, found someone.

Install them your self. It's not too hard if you can get your hands on a spring compressor and an impact gun. did mine yesterday, Took the better part of the afternoon, but it wasn't difficult. Oh, and it was free.

If you can please let me know all the tools that you needed to install the springs yourself i would really appreciate it. Maybe i can borrow some of those tools from a friend of mine, but i will definitely need some instructions.
