Default TRD Shocks/Springs

How much would it cost to get these installed by the dealer?

any decent garage that changes shocks and struts can install them. then wait a week and get an alignment.

Believe me, I want to... Have quite a bit left on my warranty and I might as well keep it that way till my extended warranty runs out in 94000 mi :p

I will call a few places tomorrow and check out the prices and hope I don't get ripped out that much. Thank you for that post.

The dealer has to prove that the TRD Shocks/Springs installed by persons other than certified Toyota mechanics were the cause of the defect/problem that affects your warranty. This goes for pretty much every other aftemarket part(s) installed on your tC as well.

i just got my white TRD springs and called two shops in my area......one said $225 and the other said $180...those should be around the prices that shops install them for (unless you live in an area where there are lots of tuning shops)

Isn't it that the warranty on the TRD parts, not the car, is null and void if not installed by a certified Toyota mechanic?

there really isn't much that can go wrong with installing these parts. i had a garage in frostburg do my installation, went fine. all they installation is about is removing stock, put on trd replacement. done. really isn't much that they can do wrong.

True, but according to the dealer - _anything_ can go wrong....

No I didn't - I regret not getting it. The dealer said 80, however they made a mistake since it should of been 100 (prices would vary). So I had it installed for 85 total including taxes and etc.

Wow. A little more than me. I spent 30 on the install but I just had them done at the same time I put the springs on for total install of 170

Do you have before and after pics? Are you using the stock struts?

Yes... the pics are in a forum I posted under suspension and I am on stock struts for now.. I only put about 8k miles a year on my ride so I'm not so worried about it yet.
